    Bible verse: Proverbs 3:2 contd.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

    Message
Life without peace is not attractive, not enjoyable and not wanted.
Life without peace is a curse, not a blessing.
Long life without peace is a punishment, not a reward.
People who lack peace anticipate dying, contemplate dying and even consider dying.

Peace makes time precious, makes life worth living, makes long life attractive.
A lack of peace makes time dreadful.
The absence of peace makes death worth pursuing.
Lost peace makes long life unappealing and distasteful.

    - After isolating himself in the wilderness for fear of Jezebel, Elijah lacked peace because he lacked faith in God's protection.
    - After struggling to understand why God would allow such hardship and loss in his life, Job lacked peace as he cursed the day he was born.
    - Jonah running from God is Biblical evidence that he lacked peace in his soul regarding the will of God for his life.
All these people have one thing in common, they didn't desire long life, instead they were desiring death because of lack of peace.

    Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I come before You today asking for peace in my heart and I ask that You would shine Your face upon me and let me experience Your peace in Jesus name.
Help me to cast all my cares on You and that I may walk in peace and joy.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 3:2
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

    Message
Beloveth, long life is a life worth living, fit to be called life; whereas length of days only implies extension of life.
Yes! the promise of prolongation of life is not to be pressed historically or by fasting and prayers but by preservation of your health, obedient to God, walk with God whether things are good or bad and doing that which pleases the Lord.

Any length of days is only appealing if they are accompanied by peace because the presence of peace makes the incentive of long life attractive.
Remember that peace always accompanies righteousness, holiness and obedience.
Peace never resides with wickedness and ungodliness.
Peace comes with righteousness and stays with thankfulness.

    Prayer
Dear everlasting Father, I ask for a long life of usefulness and comfort on this planet, and eternal life hereafter.
Let the years of my life will be many, but they will be years of life in its truest sense, as one of true happiness and enjoyment, free from distracting cares, sickness, and other drawbacks in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: John 10:1-2
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

    Message
Shepherding is not only an action but also a relationship. The Shepherd goes before.
The primary characteristic of the good shepherd is that he loves unto death; he is willing to die for the sheep.
When the sheep get into trouble, when the enemy comes, when the wolf (the devil) strikes, the false shepherd will flee, leaving the sheep to fend for themselves not by a true and dedicated shepherd.
David ran after bear and lion to save his sheep risking his own life; he was ready to die for his sheep.

The Lord, God, is our shepherd. He revives, he leads, he protects, he feeds, he waters, he pastures.
Jesus is the good Shepherd who was willing to die and did die for those who put their faith in Him.

As the sheep will flee from a stranger, so should everyone flee from satan and his agents for they come only to kill, and destroy.
Jesus is the way to eternal life and He is the One who keeps us. Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
When he leads you out He does not leave you alone.

    Prayer
Dear everlasting Father, let me seek you in my desire, let me desire you in my seeking.
Let me find you by loving you, let me love you when I find you.
Like Mary, help my soul to glorify You and my spirit to rejoice in You and teach me to entereth in by the door in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 23:24
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

    Message
Yes! our gracious, merciful and beloved heavenly Father cares greatly about our relationship with Him.
In same manner should we have great care of our children, show them love, motivate, encourage and teach them in the ways of the Lord.

God expects us to be showing our children righteous wisdom, teaching them about it, and enforcing their performance, because if a child is foolish, wicked, selfish surely his parents will be grieved and not happy.
There is great joy in righteous and wise children.

    - Are you too busy to have time with your children and train them?
    - Do you spend more of your time and love on things of the world than investing on the righteousness and wisdom of your children?
    - Do you teach your children wisdom, obedience and respect?
    - Can you be proud of been a good mentor to your children?
    - Are you showing love, forgiveness, compassion, kindness and having open ears to them?

Remember, no one but the devil and this wicked world loses when your children are wise, acquire knowledge and fear of the Lord.

    Prayer
Father Lord, help me to cut out all foolish or wasteful activities and to focus on getting more wisdom, train my children in your ways granting me the Godly desired integrity in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Micah 7:18
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

    Message
Have you realised that there is no one like our God?
Yes! God is beyond compare because of His unfailing love, His redeeming power, His forgiving love and grace, His kindness.
God does not just pardon our sins; He deals with our sin, tramples them down and extends to us mercy.

Your friends, families and neighbours can leave you and in times of troubles even forsake you but God will never leave His people or forsake His people.
When God says He will do something, unlike man, you can be sure that He will. He is always faithful.

Believers are assured of the unfailing love of God and of their relationship with Him as Father, the salvation and eternal life which He offers, and the sure hope of one day sharing His glory.

    Prayer
Thank you Father for Your unmatched in love, mercy, and faithfulness.
Let Your grace be sufficient for me and let Your strength make me perfect in all my weakness in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Ecclesiastes 2:24
There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God

    Message
It is Gods desire that we should make our soul enjoy the labour of our hands.
If you are married, enjoy life with the wife/husband whom you love but above all enjoy the work that God has given you to do and do it with all your might.
Living your life in accordance to Gods law is the only way to find true satisfaction in this universe and to enjoy everlasting life.

Beloved do not satisfy your appetites at the expense of those around you.
Stop looking for what you can get out of others, stop consuming each other in your relationships, let your love and care be bidirectional.

Begin the year with hope and renewed vision, believing in God of positivity and possibility while embracing love, friendliness and peace.
Whatsoever you are undertaking in this year of all POSSIBILITIES and in whichever situation let the fear of the Lord reign in your life because the fear of the Lord leads to hatred for sin and a strong desire for holiness and an assurance of walking in the light of God.

    Prayer
Oh everlasting Father, I pray that I shall eat and drink out of the labour of my hands.
Remove from me, O Lord, every circumstances that will make me to satisfy my appetites and hearts desires at the expense of others in Jesus name.
I will walk in the light of the Lord and I will be celebrated this year in Jesus name.
Let Your favour be upon my life as a cloud of the latter rain in Jesus name.
