    Bible verse: 2 Chronicles 20:12
O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

    Lesson
Jehoshaphat was facing a great challenge the end which might be disastrous.
Because he knew who the almighty God was; the omnipotent, omniscient, all-caring, all-loving, the unchangeable, the miracle working God and the supplier of all our needs; he cried unto Him.
He trusted God, looked unto Him as the only rescue so he sought for His refuge.

What do you do when you face trials and tribulations or facing a fierce battle of life?
    - remind yourself who God is - powerful and mighty
    - remind yourself of what God has done in your life
    - handle your problems with panic and with complaint
    - begin to doubt and then run for a quick fix; relying on your competency
    - acknowledge God for His sovereign power, wisdom, kindness and grace
    - focus on God's promises and allow Him to take control of the battle
    - seek the Lord in prayer and fasting
    - fall before the LORD and worshiping Him
    - start praising God and giving him thanks
The people of Judah did not know what would happen, but they trusted the Lord and focused on Him.

Like Jehoshaphat, seek the face of the Lord, set your eyes are upon Him, recount His goodness in your life, acknowledge His sovereign power, praised and worship the Lord.
You shall not need to fight the battle because the battle is not yours, but God's.

    Prayer
Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be bold and confident because those who trust in you shall mount wings like an eagle.

Fill my hearts, Oh Lord, with cheerful courage and loving trust in You and grant me supernatural divine deliverance from any warfare in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

    Lesson
Nothing except you yourself through your unwillingness to repent and/or walk in holiness or you allow Satan to control your life.

    When you are faced with above challenges or feel that you are far from the love of God or forsaken or your focus on successful and prosperous life has vanished;
    - make God your first choice and your stronghold
    - put your trust and hope in God
    - do not complain and don't murmur
    - do not see the challenges bigger than God
    - seek for solution in God.

NOTHING can take from you the love of Christ. Yes! Nothing shall separate you from His exceeding affectionate, matchless, free and undeserved, everlasting and unchangeable love because Jesus is interceding for you.
No one can put barrier between you and your Lord!
    But live a righteousness life.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, grant me the grace to accept my limits, the faith to trust you more and a greater willingness to let you have full control of my life.
I forsake the illusion of my competency and cast myself on you so that nothing shall separate me from your love in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Isaiah 10:27
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

    Lesson
Several things are represented by yoke:
    - the yoke of afflictions
    - the yoke of chastisement for sin
    - the yoke of bondage or slavery (jealousy, hurt, fear, bitterness, pride, envy, unforgiveness, anxiety)
    - physical yokes (sickness, disease, infirmity, health issues)
    - financial yokes (debt, poverty, theft)
    - family yokes (children on drugs, rebellious teenagers, marriage problems)
    - habitual yokes (drugs, alcohol, fornication)
But the good news is! The anointing power of the Holy Ghost will break that yoke if you humble yourselves and turn to God in repentance.
Your burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder and you will receive victory, power, breakthrough, favor, peace, God's presence and mount up in your spirit.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, refill me with that power from on High and set free from every yoke of bondage in Jesus name.
Let the Holy Spirit fill every corner of my heart, empty every pride and selfishness, ambition and everything that is contrary to your law in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Ezekiel 3:19
Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

    Lesson
God has, like Ezekiel, given us the task of a watchman; "keeper of our brethren" i.e to watch, warn and counsel.
Our primary duty is, like a properly working smoke detector, to safe life by watching, giving sufficient warnings, sincere advice through our behaviour, teachings & righteousness and counseling.

When a brother backslides, or fighting against hardening of the heart, hatred & bitterness in the heart, unforgiveness and/or gossiping attitude; it is your responsibility to WARN, counsel and stand in prayers.
    You are to:
    - help build up strong walls around his/her life, so that he/he will not face the wrath of God
    - show and lay emphasis on the price for sin without compromising the truth
    - show the gift of God for obedience, faithfulness and walking in holiness - eternal life
    - lay emphasis on the reward of revenge, bitterness, un-forgiveness, pride, ungratefulness, disobedience - eternal death
Don't turn your eyes away and feel unconcerned about the welfare of your brethren.

It is a great sin if you fail to give the words of warning because of your selfishness or trying to avoid offending brethren by telling them what they want to hear thereby compromising the truth.
God will hold you responsible and you as the watchman will have blood on your hands.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, crown me with the boldness and qualities of a good watchman and empower me physically and spiritually with Words rooted in the scriptures that will convince your lost ones to repent in Jesus name.
Do not let me loose my sense of the fear of the Lord by compromising the truth.
Set your angels, O Lord, to watch over those vulnerable gates of mine in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

    Lesson
Disappointment in whichever form will often make us feel vulnerable and ends with a heavy and troubled heart.
A troubled heart develops fear, doubt and discouragement; the weapons the devil uses in his daily warfare against the children of God.
Discouragement is a sense of defeat and hopelessness designed by the devil to weaken our faith.
The Lord is telling you "Let NOT your heart be troubled".

Do not let your heart be ruled by circumstances but by what God promises you.
When unpleasantness transpires in your life, or when the challenges are in a state of hopelessness - nothing seems to be changing, or you are hanging in physical & spiritual disorientation "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED: BELIEVE IN GOD".
Let God be your stronghold and do not allow Satan to steal your rejoicing in the Lord.

Yes! Trusting God in the tough times is a great witness to the world. And He will crown you "A living testimony".
He will put new smiles on your face and you will glorify to His goodness.
Do not forget that God promises to protect, comfort, strengthen, and guide those who love Him.

    Prayer
    Oh Lord God of mercy, I implore you to go into the memory bank of my mind and heart;
where the wounds of my past have been held and erase all the bad memories - memories of defeat, betrayal, abandonment, loneliness, rejection, hopelessness, failures and discouragement.

Remove from my ears and memory the words that were spoken that caused my pain and lack of further trust and confidence.
Crown me with the garment of love, trust, peace, hope, joy, confidence and help me to recognize Your love in EVERYTHING and make you my stronghold in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

    Lesson
God never promised us a life free of temptations and troubles.
Pain, suffering, sorrow, tribulation, trials, betrayal, disappointment these are times of challenge when our faith is being tested.
Yes! In time of trouble the people would run to the fortress for safety, protection and refuge; a safe harbor in the storm.

But where do you turn to when the storms of life rise against you and the winds of adversity buffeting your life?
To a friend, a family member?
There is a place of refuge for the children of God, a stronghold where you will not experience disappointments - God
God is the stronghold. He is the only place where you can find protection from the troubles you face in this life.
No doubt, He is your stronghold in times of personal adversity.
He will give you peace in place of your anxiety. Our Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces.

Those who seek protection in him are safe.
    - when Job faced great calamity, he turned to God
    - when Jonah was in trouble he turned to God
    - when a ruler's daughter died, he came to Jesus
    - when the nobleman had a son at the point of death, he came to Jesus
    - when Hagar, wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba and nothing left for survival, she turned to the Lord
    - the people of the city of Nineveh, after gravious sins, repented and turned to God
These people knew where to go when they were facing calamities - to the stronghold, the fortress for safety, the merciful and covenant God.

Brethren put your trust in the Lord, turn to Him in days of trouble for our Lord is good to all people, in all places, in all situations, and at all times.

    Prayer
My Lord God, I do not see the road ahead of me and neither can I know for certain where it will end, nor foretell the dangers and calamities ahead.
Help me to have perfect trust in your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry me in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, when all is darkness, when I face calamities and I feel my weakness and helplessness, give me the sense of your presence, your love and your strength to enable me to turning to you as the great stronghold in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Deuteronomy 1:6
The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

    Lesson
It was spoken in the in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month (Deut. 1:3) to the Israelites in the wilderness.
They were faced with several obstacles, have lost hope, trust, confidence and focus.
Likewise, there are several obstacles that stand between where you are now and where the Lord is taking you.
The fear of the unknown, and the obstacles of:
    - trust
    - confidence
    - doubt
    - commitment
    - faith
    - majoring on minors while exchanging the majors for minors
    - bickering over small things
    - failures and disappointments
    - previous experiences.
Yes! those you trusted have betrayed, blackmailed, discouraged, abandoned you and have left hurts and wounds in your heart.
Your heart's desires are swimming in the unknown darkness with no hope of fulfillment or you have been denied love. Efforts of achieving happiness, abundance, joy and peace have worked against you.

Today been the first day of the eleventh month of this year, the Lord is declaring to you as He had to the Israelites: "You have dwelt long enough at this mountain."

It is time to move on to the next level, next success, next testimony, next breakthrough. Time to fly over those mountains, to cross the Jordan and defeat the Goliath standing your way.
Time to possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.

God wants you to rise up from the life of pretension, want, defeat, lingering in the past and disobedience; to a life of abundance, victory, joy, peace and blessing.

Step into the new month with confidence, trust in the Lord and receive the blessings and miracles the Lord has promised you and your family.
    Happy New Month!!

    Prayer
Thanks you Lord for making me a witness of the 1st day of the eleventh month of this year and for your protections in the past years, months and days.
Thank you for your love and guidance for the rest of this year and years ahead.
I claim your today's declaration that I have dwell too long in my current situation and challenges and I am moving on to possess my possession in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord for waking me from my slumbers.
