2nd Week, December 2021
14th - 8th December

    Bible verse: James 5:17-18
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

    Message
Elijah was expecting a big thing from a big God!
He, without wasting time on mere generalities in his prayer, he asked for drought and there was drought for three and a half years.

Prayers are the believer's weapons of war needed to change situations.
We must learn to pray with expectancy and to be very specific in our prayer life.
Though our requests may tarry but it shall surely come to past.
    Delays are not denials.

Do you, like Elijah, pray in faith specifically hitting the nail on the head?
Do you apply Mark 11:24 and are you persistent in your prayers?
The unbelievable can happen before the year runs out. Have faith that whatsoever you ask for it shall be granted.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, as I am expecting greater things from you, give me the intelligence to see what is most important,
the understanding to know what to do about it, the strength to act on it and the patience to operate in faith in your promises in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 25:21-22 contd.
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.

    Message
Beloveth, what does it mean "if your enemy - someone who seeks your downfall, seeks your destruction, ready to hand you over to the wicked souls - is hungry, if he is thirsty, give him water to drink?"
    It means that:
    - you should try to meet his needs if he/she is suffering.
    - you should help feed him or give him something to drink if he/she is going without the bare minimum
    - you are required to alleviate his suffering if he is injured and bleeding.

You may feel that the person deserves wrath and vengeance, but that is not your job, all you should do is show love because vengeance is of the Lord.
Act like Elisha who showed kindness to and fed the very soldiers that came to take him away.
You are not to rejoice at the calamity of an enemy; but rather, meet his/her need.
Don't enjoy seeing your enemy go hungry or thirsty and begging but remember that God rewards good deeds with blessings.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, all good things come from You, and You make good, all things.
I pray for Your favour, God, and Your protective embrace, as I look out into the world to do good and share what I have.
When I am doing good deeds for others, help me to be a humble servant in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 25:21-22
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.

    Message
To bless those who persecute or mistreat us with our substances and show love requires supernatural strength.
We are to kill our enemies with kindness and risk ourselves to love them as God has loved.
In doing so, you can really destroy your enemy – destroy them by making them your friend, giving them guilty conscience.
    Yeeees!! kill them with kindness!
We are commanded to love them by performing deeds of love, regardless of our feelings.
Of course, we must be filled with the spirit of forgiveness, and be determined to avoid retaliation and personal revenge.

    Prayer
Lord, give me patience in tribulation and grace in everything to conform my will to yours.
Grant, that my enemy would love to do your will without reservation, with the purest motives, and with great joy.
Give us this strong determination in Jesus name

    Bible verse: Obadiah 1:17
17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

    Message
As long as you are in bondage and you are not delivered, you cannot possess your possession.
Deliverance is available to all of us, if only we can cry unto the Lord.
And surely you shall inherit your inheritances.

Yes! the people who returns from captivity shall be holy unto the Lord.
Beloveth, you are to follow the footstep of the blind Barthemeus and cry "Jesus, the son of David, have mercy on me" and there shall be holiness and turn around.

    Prayer
I break and loose myself from every inherited bondage and evil convenants in Jesus name.
I declare, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazarreth, that every cloud blocking the sunlight of my glory and breakthrough be removed and casted into the sea in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Psalm 63:1-2
    1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

    Message
Was there ever something your soul thirsteth for in life? And what did you do to get it?
    - Focus all your energies on it or devise a plan or strategy to get it or talk about it to someone who would listen and might help or stick with it until you get it?

What do you think would happen and what kinds of change in your live if you focus all your energies on God, talk about Him to someone, devise a plan or strategy to walking in righteousness, be obedient to His rules, in short going hard after God and earnestly seeking Him?

Beloveth, there will be times you will be exhausted emotionally, but spiritually you must know where to find strength, rest, peace and satisfaction - it is ONLY in God.

Thirsting for God means you seek God with all your heart - seeking both knowledge about God and an encounter with Him and be obedient to His laws and act righteously.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, though I stand in a dry, weary, waterless land, let no circumstance allow me to cease seeking You, to thirst for You, put my trust and confidence in You.
Do not allow me to accept as fact things that are just a figment of my imaginations in Jesus name.

Bible verse: 1 Samuel 17:32 contd.
And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

    Message
Beloveth, to explore and conquer the giants in your life, you need a spiritual perspective, an unshakable shoe leather faith, and like David a deliberate focus on God's glory and trust in His power.

When the lion or bear or giant comes into your life or cross your way, instead of tolerating it, recognize that you can't allow it to have its way in your life.
Lay aside all earthly confidences; discard your own strength and confront the circumstances, Satan and his agents by sentences of Holy write, well directed from the sling of truth: "It is written" and making good use of the mighty weapon "the name of JESUS".
Do not attributed any victory thereof to good luck or your know-how but to the glory of God.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, life certainly has its obstacles and some of them are so huge that I feel helpless.
And there are times when I am simply not up to the task.
I put my hope and trust in You because I believe I can overcome the giants in my live by trusting that You will give me the strength and courage I need to move forward.

    Bible verse: 1 Samuel 17:32
And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

    Message
What is the big Philistine standing before you - your finances, work, relationship, progress, faith in the Lord, overcoming unguarded mouth, arrogance, pride, gossiping or evil speaking?
How are you looking at the giants? Like David or like Joshua & Caleb or like the rest spies that see themselves as grasshoppers?
Do you see them as bigger that what God can handle?

Do you like David, build on past experiences where God watched over you, saved you from shame and the evil ones?
There must be at least circumstances in your life in which you have received Divine help, favour or unmerited blessings.
Beloveth, you are to trust in the true and living God and face those mountains and Philistine squarely in the name of the Lord.
If you have not learnt to use any simple weapon - prayer, worship, praises or fasting - now is the time to start having one because you will, like David, make use of it one day.

    Prayer
Dear everlasting Father, I choose to have faith in Your ability to break through every obstacle in my life, to take the head off of giants standing in the way of something good and/or those sitting on my back.
I want to be like Joshua and Caleb who believed in a good reports and with boldness focused on You even in hard circumstances.
Teach me, oh Lord, to see difficulties in my life from Your perspective, to focus on You and Your power and to trust in Your ability and not my own.
