    Bible verse: Proverbs 13:4
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

    Message
A sluggard is a lazy person who hates hard work and perseverance, loves to sleep and wants to take today off. Laziness is sin.
Sluggards have many excuses why others have more than they have, covet much. But they cannot get their lazy backsides out of bed to get those things.
Work frustrates them, and they cannot figure out simple means of getting ahead.
Guess what! when success falls in their laps, they cannot get it in the bank.

A diligent man is the opposite of a sluggard man. He loves hard work and stays until the job is finished.
The diligent man, is working hard each day, is excited about his job, dresses neatly, arrives early, hates small talk and enjoys the prosperity.
Yes! God and men reward the man who works hard.

    Prayer
Thank You Lord for rescuing me and saving me from my sinfulness.
I am thankful that Your power is made perfect in my weakness.
Give me wisdom and perspective as my soul seek diligence, obedience and peace in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 12:20
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

    Message
Deceit means to intentionally mislead someone by either distorting the truth or withholding the truth from them.
Those who imagine evil against others are liars and will be punished for it.
They seem just, religious, peaceable, and honest men, knowing that the less they be suspected, the more successful their plots are likely to be.
Whomsoever they deceive, they cannot deceive God, who will make them the greatest deceivers of themselves.
The godly man or woman is one who is a counsellor of peace. They pursue peace with their words and advice, and God will bless them with happy lives.
There will be no peace for the wicked - but for those who humble themselves - there is great joy and peace.

Are you among those who are plotting evil or the ones who are promoting peace?
If you harbour envy or strife in your heart, it makes you completely vulnerable to confusion and every evil work of the devil.

May God make each one of us a counsellor of peace - and an individual who works alongside the prince of peace.

    Prayer
Dear gracious God, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end and protect Your people from the ravages of the enemy.
Help me, Lord, to keep my heart with all diligence in Jesus mighty name, for out of it are the issues of life.

    Bible verse: Genesis 6:5
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

    Message
A heart that devises wicked imaginations is a heart that forms sinful thoughts from lustful affections and emotions.
Beloveth, you should be careful in all aspects of your life and living because the wicked ones are roaming about not only to devour but to destroy and kill.
They are searching for those with the glory of the Lord; and their focus are not on those weak or backslide believers but the righteous ones.
Remember Job was very righteous yet Satan still found his way to bring enormous calamities upon his neck.
Haman's heart was full of evil ready to kill Mordecai.
Jephthah was thrown out of his father's house and denied of his inheritance by his brothers.
These days siblings do not mind to prematurely send back to God their brethren because of money, properties, power etc.
Yes! the heart is evil, deceitful, and desperately wicked, deliberately and designedly contrived to do mischief.
Therefore, watch your steps, watch your tongue, watch what you do and where you go and pray for the presence of the Lord in your going out and coming in.

    Prayer
Great God, help me to recognize the enemy when he comes and to resist the urge to drift from Your precepts and laws.
In You, oh Lord, I put my trust, save me from all those who persecute or willing to destroy me in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Ecclesiastes 4:1
So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter

    Message
Beloveth, have you considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun?
Oppression is a high ingratitude and affront to the righteous God.
It is ingratitude to God, because He giveth men all their wealth and power over others, and He doth this, not that they may oppress, but protect, relieve, and serve others, and be a blessing to them.
Yes! oppression is contrary to the design of the Gospel; which is to promote righteousness, love, peace, and happiness upon earth, as well as to secure the eternal salvation of mankind.
It is detestable inhumanity and cruelty to the oppressed.

Believers are not to close their eyes on oppressions and to act as comforters to the oppressed.
Remember, where there is power there is likely to be abuse. Say no to injustice.
Don't forget that power, which may arise from physical strength, from hereditary authority, from rank and wealth, or from civil and political position and dignity will always exist in human society and most especially in churches. And such powers if can be misused to the glory of Satan.

    Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, i seek power to ascend the holy hill of the lord, power to prevail at the altar of prayer, power to overcome every temptation.
let my soul be delivered from the forces of evil, all satanic powers, and let my eyes be controlled by the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 9:15
To call passengers who go right on their ways:

    Message
Who are those passengers who go right on their way?
Yes! they are those who have been religiously educated, and trained up in the principles of true Christianity; and who walk outwardly according to the rule of the divine word, and are in a fair way for heaven and eternal happiness.
They are men of character, uncompromising to truth and the word of God, avoid the distractions evil places in their path and run with endurance with their eyes fixed on Jesus.

Remember that even if you are going where you should and doing what you should, an enemy that wants to take you down to death and hell may meet you on your way.
Are you prepared to resist the invitation, focus your attention carefully, and commit your heart to godliness?

    Prayer
May you experience his power, his joy and his peace today as you walk in fellowship with Him, amen.
Lord remember me and free me from all internal and external opposition that is willing and aiming to take me down as I go out today in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Romans 15:13 contd
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    Message
The only source of true joy and peace is God himself. And it is only God that gives fulness of joy and peace.
The only way by which God can give any man joy and peace is by giving him Himself.

If God is the giver of this hope then all who believe can rest their hope on this sure foundation that God is the God of hope.

Beloveth, there is no one excluded from this glorious promise of the Lord - to fill you with all joy and peace in believing.
Yes! It is God Himself that in great abundance has promised to fill you to the brim with all spiritual blessings.
All His promises are secured in His unchanging and unchangeable Word.

Remember that only when you have God for the joy of your heart and for the peace of your troubled spirits will your joy be full.

    Prayer
Loving Father, what a glorious privilege it is to have my hope in You.
May I be motivated to enlarge my perspective of the glorious God of Hope, as I trust in Your unbreakable Word in Jesus name.
May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in Him, so that I may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    Bible verse: Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    Message
Very often we place our hope and trust in what isn't real - the environment, the people, our understandings, treasures and the world forgetting that God is the only one who gives hope, sustains hope and crowns hope.

When we face of temptation, rejection, failures, disappointment we become frustrated and weak because our hope tank is on empty.

In that situation, no gnawing on the husk of worldly things; seek God who is the source of all true hope and put your hope in Christ your Savior and Lord.
Your hope can only be found in your belief and trust in God's word and remember that joy of the Lord is our strength.

The situation you are going through cannot be worse than what Joseph or Job went through.
What sustained Joseph through all the trials and hopeless situations he experienced: rejection by his brothers, sold into slavery, lied about by Potiphar's wife, unjustly thrown in prison was HOPE in the Lord, perseverance, humility and a forgiving heart.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, grant me the grace to stand firm in the storm, the privilege to walk in the light of your countenance and enjoy your gracious presence, the confidence and power to walk with integrity so that I can honestly say that my life is filled with all joy and peace in believing and trusting You in Jesus name.
