Bible verse: Matthew 5:20
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Message
The scribes and Pharisees were known for their strict observance of the law but they are unconscious hypocrites.
Yes! the Pharisees do prayed on the street corners, prayed standing up even prayed out loud, made a big show out of their righteousness but it is noted that they are so concerned about the outside, but so negligent about the inside.

Many of believers are like them, looking and sounding so righteous while justice, love, forgiveness, truth cannot be found in their lifestyle and behaviour. They attend services deluding themselves and fooling others.
You can fool the people all the time but you cannot fool God.
Jesus wants you to express genuine righteousness, to practice mercy, justice, and faithfulness, to be filled with concern for the needy and that you do away with those hypocritical behaviours.
Yes! God wants a righteousness that is from the heart, a righteousness that goes beyond show and ceremony like the Pharisees practice, a righteousness that is God-centered, a righteousness that shows love.

Beloveth, even though you cannot be totally and completely righteous yet you should be striving to achieve that goal, no matter how impossible the task might seem.
With a strong determination and willingness your righteousness can exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees.

Prayer
Gracious God, fill me with a passion to seek Your face and righteousness in all I pray and do.
Remove any pride in my heart that would keep me from total surrender to You, and guard me from the shallowness and self-focus in Jesus name.

Bible verse: Psalms 40:4
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Message
Beloveth, how can you trust a man you do not know?
How would you trust and have confidence on a person you don't know or how reliable his words and promises are?
You must come closer to the person, have knowledge of His character, know his dos and don't s, what he stands for etc.
Consequently, for you to put your trust in God, you must seek a deep personal relationship with Him, be acquaint with His word, know His promises, what He hates, understand His will and language so you don't follow the directive of Satan.
God cannot have a relationship with you when you love evil and engage in ungodly behaviours such like bitterness, lying, hatred, jealousy, pride, envy and ungratefulness and willingness to destroy and/or kill others with your tongues or other devilish means.

The Lord is merciful to those who place their trust in Him and it is guaranteed that they will be blessed if they trust in God.
Do not place your trust in riches, not in words of men, not in yourself, not in your family or friends but solely on God.

Prayer
Dear everlasting Father, help me to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry me, for living close to You, I shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Bible verse: Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Message
Trust is a state of absolute reliance, unreserved dependency, and total counting on something or somebody.
Therefore it is a situation where one's destiny and existence is subjected to the discretion and care of reliable somebody or something - reliable on treasures of this world or on treasures above, on Satan and his agents or on the almighty God.

Beloveth, every man is largely a selfish being that values self preservation above others preservation.
Those whom you put your trust in may quickly desert you or act like Job's friends when you needed them most or like Judas Ischariot, betray you when they should defend you or may forget you like the chief butler forgot Joseph in prison.

It is better to rely solely on godly understanding, wisdom and divine directives rather than your own understanding or on the promises of man.
Never put your trust in riches of this world and on the living human being because they can let you down, disappoint you, betray you, desert you and fail you.
Only God is dependable and ever faithful, only God is all sufficient and has abundance, only God can do the impossible and He alone is the solution to your problems and challenges.
Yes! God is merciful, reliable, unshakeable, unmovable and He is good.
You are to set your trust in the Lord entirely, with all your heart, with complete confidence in Him and to walk in God's confidence at all times.

Prayer
Help me oh Lord, to have perfect trust in Your protecting love, never to loose confidence in Your grace and let my life be filled with so many wonderful opportunities while I surrender that You direct my paths in Jesus name.

Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Message
Light is the emblem of knowledge, purity, and truth while darkness is the emblem of ignorance, error, sin, and wretchedness.
Beloveth, there was darkness before God commanded that there should be light. Light was the first production out of the dark and unformed chaos.
Light was the effect of almighty power, so is the spiritual illumination.
Those who are in the darkness
Those who possess the natural darkness in their minds need spiritual light to be infused into them and they are to welcome the heavenly light by repenting and acknowledging Christ.

If you are the backsliding believer, do not allow your pride, selfishness or the environment you are or those you associate with drive you into deep ignorance of God, of His Law, and His requirements.

Beloveth, stop plunging yourself into deeper darkness, stop seeking things of this world, stop satisfying your carnal senses with the treasures of this world instead allow God's glory to shine in your heart.

Prayer
Dear Lord, those who welcome the heavenly light rejoice in it, are guided by it, and know its power to inspire hope eternal, let nothing be obstacle to me welcoming the heavenly light, to rejoice in it and be guided by it in Jesus name.

Bible verse: Proverbs 27:4
Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

Message
Wrath is defined as the retributory punishment for an offense or a crime and the Bible saith "it is cruel".
Anger is a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility - a powerful emotion which may have destructive results for you and those closest to you.
Beloveth, if you're stressed and angry, you'll shorten your lifespan.

Envy is a desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable things belonging to someone else.
Envy is the brother of infatuation and it is the root of murder, stealing, infidelity, violence etc.
Beloveth, if you have the spirit of envy, pray against it because it will destroy your soul, body, and life.
And it will take you to hell for eternity.
But before it takes you to the lake of fire, it will pervert your thinking, torture your mind, ruin your health, consume your body, wreck your reputation, and destroy your life.
You can never be at peace when you live a life desiring what others have.
Therefore, reject any idea that you can allow envy and survive for the scriptures made us to realize that you desire and do not have, so you murder.

Prayer
Dear Lord, forgive me for trying to obtain what others have, for selfish ambition and trying to make myself prominent out of my own insecurity and need for attention.
Substitute the negativity and cruelty in my heart with Your peace and love and kindness in Jesus name.

Bible verse: Jeremiah 1:19
And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord , to deliver thee.

Message
The promise of God's purpose allows you to let go of your own plans and to receive God's plan without fear.
He will not deny or run away from any of His promises - He is not a man that shall lie.
God may assign you a demanding task, beloveth, you need to reject fear and allow God to walk with you because His presence will give you the strength to stand in the face of every assault.
God wants you, like Jeremiah, to know that you need to accept that your future, your success and your protection are not your own and cannot be sustained with your own understanding and knowledge.
Because God has a distinct plan and purpose for the lives of His children, all they need to do is to move closer to Him, obey His instruction, reject fear and allow God to walk with them.

Beloveth, you need not mind the strong wind blowing near you because God is with thee. And when the presence of "I am that I am" is with you of what shall you be afraid?
None of those woes, none of those calamities, none of those agents of Satan fighting against shall prevail against thee saith the Lord.
Have confidence in His words and His promises and do not get discouraged if things are not going as you expected. He is running a better agenda on your behalf.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I want to be in Your perfect will and I pray that Your will be done in every area of my life.
Lead me Lord on the right path that is best for me in Jesus name.

Bible verse: Colossians 3:1-2
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Lesson
Seeking the things which are above is seeking your salvation, seeking a deep personal relationship with God.
This end time, it so hard for God's people to be "heavenly-minded" because of their pursuit of earthly treasures.
To be heavenly-minded simply means loving what Jesus loves, thinking like Jesus thinks, and viewing everything in your daily life from His heavenly perspective.
Beloveth, setting your affection on things above will transform every area of your lives - especially your lifestyle, your thinking process, the transformation of pride to humility, from hatred and envy heart to loving heart.
Your lifestyle, either you like it or not, is defined by whom you are serving, those who you associate yourself with, your relationships, the words of your mouth, your character, your contentment, your commitment and trustworthiness.
Watch out, other people are watching you in action. Therefore change your desires, change your thought/thinking process and change your actions.
You must choose to desire the things of God and your affection be set on things above, not on things of the earth because the things of this world are nothing but vanity.
Setting your mind on things of this planet is hostile to God and it is a failure to submitting to God's law.

Prayer
Dear everlasting Father, let the same mind be in me that was in Christ Jesus and do not grant me the mindset and desire and the ability to setting my mind on the things of the flesh in Jesus name.
