    Bible verse: Psalm 140:1-3
1 Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; protect me from men of violence,
2 who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day.
3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Selah

    Message
Man of violence is one endeavouring to do you injury, one persecuting and even hunting you down, one digging pit for you, one laughing with you but having deep in his/her heart bitterness, envying and strife.
Yes! he/she is ready to injure your feelings, blackmail you and provoke you to loose your patience, regularly burning you with cruel, critical and hateful speech.

Evil men have evil hearts and the only way they think they can satisfy their evil heart, is to bring war to those at peace. They are ready to destroy and grant you unrest and take away your joy.
These people are not peacemakers, they are warmongers.

Beloveth, find your comfort in the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful God and have no need to fear the world and those evil men because God has promised to protect you.

    Prayer
Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

    Bible verse: Psalm 71:17-18
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

    Message
Gray hair is an honourable look, suggesting wisdom, experience and old age.
Old age is sure to come but coupled with many challenges including biological, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual changes.
Beloveth, you may be ageing with a emotional and intellectual challenges, you may no longer have the energy to join in the chase; there is probably ageing showing on your face, or your memory might be fading without a trace; or when doctor's visits become an ever-increasing part of your pace or have trouble tying your shoe lace; God wants you to age with grace.
And when you are ageing with grace, you look forward to moving to a higher place because our Lord has promised you that even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you should fear no evil for the Lord is with you while His rod and staff are to comfort you. With long life will He satisfy you and show you His salvation always guiding and enabling you to walk in His will.

Beloveth, you must acknowledge the truth of how God has cared for you, from your youth and middle age, and apply that confidence to the new and perhaps harder challenges that you will face in old age.

    Prayer
In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Psalm 91:1-2 contd.
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

    Message
When you are in sweet communion with God you enter into this special secret place where nothing can penetrate.
If you are going to be protected in life, you're going to have to dwell on God's character and focus on a transcendent God.
He will lifts you above any problems to a place where harm cannot reach you.
If you are dwelling under His shadow, our Lord is thy keeper: our Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
Yes! you are dwelling in the One who is high above all things and high above your troubles.

Do you want protection from this life?
Do you want to be shielded from the nervous disorders that everyone is falling around with?
Do you want to dwell in the secret place of the most High?
Make God your habitation, live in God, dwell on the character of God, and desire to have a good relationship with the most high God.

    Prayer
Dear gracious Father, help me to dwell, abide, and lodge under Thy shadow, beneath Thy wing, and abide under the truth that is a strong shield in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Psalm 91:1-2
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

    Message
Beloveth, the only safe place is the secret place of the most High.
Many who are vocal in their faith, when the times of trouble enter in, they become shattered and disillusioned as to what is happening to them.
Yes! they started murmuring, complaining, shifting blames and forgetting the good things and the blessings of the Lord on them.

Beloveth, God has a shelter for those who put their trust and confidence in Him, and it is under His shadow.
This place has a door in which we enter and the door is a door of trust.

No matter what befalls you, the Most High God who is above all things, the Almighty God who is great in grace and will always provide your need, the Lord the eternal God, the covenant keeping God, the Creator God is saying: "I will protect you. I will be with you".
The LORD is your refuge and your fortress: in Him should you always trust.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day because our LORD shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    Prayer
Great gracious God, I hide myself, my family and loved ones in Your secret place in the name of Jesus.
Help me oh Lord, to have perfect trust in Your protecting love, never to loose confidence in Your grace and let my life be filled with so many wonderful opportunities in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Psalm 27:4-5
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

    Message
Desire is defined as a strong feeling, worthy or unworthy, that impels to the attainment or possession of something that is in reality or imagination within reach. Desire is the thing that drives us.

A person's life will only rise to the level of the thing or things that a person desires most of all.
David asked God for what he desired. He didn't sit around wishing, or spending hours in the church praying for miracles and prosperity, but he acted.
He wanted to soak the presence of God into his heart, to contemplate the awesome characteristics of His mighty Sovereign, and rejoice in the reality that he knew his God.

Yes! He was going to the temple daily to seek God, seek His presence and companionship, to make God his top priority for his attention, and the great joy and resource of his life but NOT spending his precious hours there shouting Holy Ghost Fire and binding the devil.
He knew that God blesses hard work and not laziness and not assumption of praising God for Him to pour money down from heaven.

Have you ever stopped to think about why you come to the house of the Lord?
Was it your desire to be in the presence of the Lord, and to fellowship with the saints?

    Prayer
Dear Lord, one thing I desire of You is that You teach me the great gain I will experience by setting my hearts affections not on this worlds changing and peril-stricken economy, but by storing up treasures in heavens economy where eternal riches never perish, spoil or fade in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

    Message
God grants people the ability to receive great wealth from His hand and also grants to them the ability to enjoy it.
God doesn't provide through the lottery or through insurance lawsuits or through get-rich-quick schemes as some false prosperity preachers teach.
God blesses us through our hard work.
He expects us to work wisely and to work hard and to do our work as willingly and faithfully as the angels of heaven - No deceit, no laziness, no murmuring, no shifting of faults, no fraud.
He doesn't want us to waste our precious time or talents or resources by following worthless pursuits.

Beloveth, if you are not going anywhere financially because you have not disciplined yourself and worked hard and made good use of your time and talents, you need to repent. God has not run out of blessings.
Change your way of doing things and pursuit the blessings of the Lord which brings wealth and no sorrow addeth.
When God blesses a man to be rich, He also gives contentment, happiness, and peace, which amounts to a double blessing.

    Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, the only wealth I want is by Your blessing because You give contentment and peace with it.
Let my faith be full and unreserved, and let it penetrate my thought, my way of judging divine things and human things.
Help me hold on to my faith, and dependency on You for making riches in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Psalm 118:5-6
5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

    Message
Many times, when hardships come our way, we need someone stronger to intervene for us. We have no strength within ourselves, so we call upon our Lord.
Remember Jonah called the Lord in distress and God answered him, God delivered David from all his troubles, placed him on the throne of Israel, and gave him rest from all his enemies round about.
God is always attentive and active on behalf of His children even though they are so undeserving.
He delivers them from their troubles, and out of the hands of their enemies.

Beloveth, for those who hate you, for those who seek your downfall, for those digging pit for you, God's wrath shall be upon them because LORD is on your side.
Therefore allow God to take over the battle, for He knows better than you do.
Stay trusting Him and be fearless because God loves and cares for you so much.

    Prayer
Loving Heavenly Father, I praise You for speaking to me through Your Word that You will deliver those who love You and follow You diligently from evil and bless them.
Hear my cry and remove all my burdens.
Strengthen me by your grace, hear my cry and set me free from all burdens and problems in Jesus name.
