When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

Lesson
Brethren, when a man made a promise to God that promise is unchangeable and we should not delay in fulfilling it.
God Himself also made numerous vows/oaths, covenant vows and He keeps them.
Do not allow yourself to be a ball to be kicked about by the devil, because Satan, the great liar, will try to get you to break your vows thereby making you to become a liar like himself.

Prayer
Oh Lord, when You give us a promise, you watch over your word to perform it in our lives.
Let me not slack to pay my vows unto you Lord; grant me the means, courage and faithfulness to fulfill all my promises to you and my brethren.
I thank you Lord, for your faithfulness to your word and forgiveness.

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

Lesson
Rash oaths, vows and pledges can bring us into tragedy and judgment.

Jephtha vowed that whatever comes out of the doors of his house to meet
him will be offered as a burnt offering to the Lord.
Herod, with an oath, promised to give the daughter of Herodias, whatever she might ask.

Do not let your mouth lead you into sin; it is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it.
Make promises and vows you can fulfill else you become a liar before God and man.
Have you fulfill your vow unto the Lord and/or your promises to your brethren?

Prayer
Thank you Lord, for you have given me a sound mind and the ability to fulfill every promise and vow.
Deliver me, Oh Lord, from mind that always calculate, renew my mind and let me rejoice in the shadow of your wings in Jesus name.

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Lesson
Many Christians make a promise to God only to quickly forget about it and consequently bring a curse upon themselves.
Apart from showing yourself to be a fool for breaking your vow, you are committing sin and provoking the wrath of God.
God has no pleasure in fools.
Have you made a vow unto the Lord?
Fulfill your promise and free yourself from God's anger, sin and receive unmerited blessings.

Prayer
As I make my vow, I pray that God will lead me out of bondage, bring me and my loved ones out of danger, and pour out untold blessings upon my life.
Grant me Oh Lord, the grace to fulfill every vow I make so I can have delight in You and be able to lift up my face unto You for unmerited blessings.

When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good

Lesson
God knows that when people are so abundantly blessed that they have a tendency to forget who it was that enabled them to get their blessings.
You need to cultivate thankfulness in your live and never forget what God and others have done for you.
Bless God with your substances, love others as God loves you and give to the poor.

Prayer
Thank you Lord that I should take no thought for my life, what I shall eat, or what I shall drink; nor yet for my body, what I shall put on because You have made provision for these.
Grant me, Oh Lord, the spirit of thankfulness and a heart of constant and full dependence on You.

Great things the Lord has been doing in our life and greater things he is yet to do.
Yes! the private, personal and spiritual blessings we enjoy deserve the thanksgiving of a whole life.
Brethren, let your hearts reply with gratitude, and your lips with song, for, God been more than gracious.

Prayer
Yes! I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
Thank you, Lord, that you love me even when I am disobedience to your word and for the fresh grace and a season full of your promises.

Lesson
God grants the provision of life, life that is abundantly full of everlasting meaning.
If there is one thing we should really want this Christmas, it ought to be the provision of everlasting Life.

Prayer
Thank you, dear everlasting Father, for giving me the opportunity of relationship with your son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who introduces me to an eternal Father that always provide what I need and not what I want.

You have given soooo much to me; in the mighty name of Jesus, give me one thing more, - a grateful heart; not thankful when it pleaseth me, but such a heart whose pulse will be ready at all times and in every situation to be grateful, thankful and be able to praise you.

God revealed His love for us through his covenants, promises and his desires because he is good.
His love endures through all things for all time.

Prayer
Oh Lord, this is the day set aside to honor all the ways You bless me with your goodness, love, care, mercy, grace and forgiveness of my sins.
I am rejoicing and thanking you for your daily provisions and for the doors you have closed because they have prevented me from unseen troubles and tribulations.

Thank you, Lord, for unanswered prayer because you are preparing something new, something marvelous, greater and miraculous for me to glorify your name.
Grant me a heart of unconditional love in Jesus name.

Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction.
Let us look back into our life and see the great things the Lord has done for us.

Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for the precious life you have given unto me, for guiding and protecting me till date, for things you have withheld and those things you have performed in my life according to your liking.
Thank you, Daddy, for all your promises in my life, your care, love and mercies.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight in the mighty name of Jesus.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Lesson
Not everything that happens to us is good, but God uses everything that happens to work for our good.
Thanksgiving is the natural response to the grace and goodness of a great and wonderful God who cares and provides for us.

Therefore, in the pleasantries of life, as well as in the pain, during difficult times, trying times and frustrating times we are to give thanks.
A thankful spirit is a distinguishing feature of a Christian.

We are therefore dedicating this week for Thanksgiving.

Prayer
Thank you Lord for each new morning with its light, for rest and shelter of the night, for health and food, for love and friends, for the freedom to enjoy everything Your goodness sends.
