4th Week, June 2015
30th - 22nd June

    Tuesday, 30th June 2015

    Bible verse: Titus 2:7-8
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

    Lesson
Lack of sincerity, sound mind, unconditional love, forgiving heart, controlled tongue as well as pride, disobedience and a heart filled with bitterness/anger/revenge are the characteristics of evil nature.
You cannot expect good works out of an evil nature.
Nothing is a good work unless it is commanded of God, done with a good motive and with a view to glorify God.
Until you have a new heart and a right spirit, it would be impossible to expect to find good works in you.
So repent, be transformed, examine yourself and your motives.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, keep me under the shadow of your wing and shape my lifestyle to reflect your character.
Purge me from the ungodly, teach me to live in the spirit, in doing good works and help me to see the real values of eternal things in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: 1 Samuel 1:11
And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

    Lesson
Have you, like Hannah, been written off by people because of your current situation, a recent tragedy, a broken marriage, been deeply hurt, suffered ridicule, etc?
Don't loose hope. But, don't open doors or give the enemy the priviledge and authority to attack and fustrate you; instead be steadfast in prayers.
Don't use that misfortune and mistreatment as an excuse - they are challenges.

Enter into the house of the Lord and cry unto God from the bitterness of your soul.
Challenge God with your pains. Commit yourself, make keepable vows and built your life upon the rock of a personal relationship with Christ.
    Excercise your faith in God.

    Prayer
Dear LORD, you maketh poor, and maketh rich: bringeth low, and lifteth up, raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory - 1 Samuel 2:7-8
Oh Lord grant me the power to be fulfiled, successful and prosperous.
Establish in me the truth, Godliness, faithfulness, set me among princes and make me inherit the throne of glory in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Joshua 4:14
On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

    Lesson
For the Lord to magnify you; you have to prepare yourself spiritually and physically.
Spiritually, do away with those negative mindsets, have a forgiving & repenting heart, show kindness and unconditional love, let the word dwell in you, and walk in righteousness.

Physically, make sure you are neat, tidy, looking good, well dressed, having all relevant information & facts based on the word of God.

Before Joseph came to Pharaoh he also prepared himself physically.
Gen 41:14 "and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment,"
Yes! God is in control of everything and if you are faithful to His laws, He will honour you before any panel of judges.

    Prayer
O Lord, Let me receive wisdom, knowledge and understanding for my preparation.
Anoint my handwork for success, to prosper, to excel and let peace flow like water into my life in Jesus name.
God will magnify you, favour you and give you victory in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: 2 Samuel 9:4
And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

    Lesson
Mephibosheth, the heir to the throne of king Saul, was relocated to Lodebar because he was a cripple.
Lodebar is a place of rejection, place of no communication.
When David became king he showed kindness to Mephibosheth because of Jonathan.
David had the right to execute judgment, but instead he chose to demonstrate grace, mercy, favor, loving kindness and unmerited love.
Grace does not concern itself with our background, surroundings, abilities, appearance, future potential, past, race, social standing, our deeds or deeds of our forefathers.
God wants us to seek out our enemies and others, show mercy, bless and love them even when they don't deserve it.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, give me the strength to be honest, to show the your kindness to others and make me an instrument of grace.
Let me be more like you by providing unconditional love in Jesus name
Lord connect me with that person who will show me kindness and unmerited love in Jesus name
Father, any property, position, job that is taken over by any demonic spiritual, I reverse it in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

    Lesson
Your words will either confirm your faith, or they will deny your faith.
Your words reveal the condition of your hearts, your true character and
    it is your direction setters.
What you say with your mouth rules you. It can lift you up or bring you down.

Countless of people have been hurt, destroyed, killed alive or burned by the words of others.
Let love fill your heart, and ultimately, your mouth.

Avoid bitterness and anger for it can cause severe damage to your relationships and reputations and stir God's wrath.
Put off careless and idle words, stop speaking defeat in your lives, and replace negative thoughts and speeches with positive, encouraging and edifying speech.

    Prayer
Post a guard at my mouth, God, set a watch at the door of my lips - Psalm 141:3
O Lord, help me to be able to caution my mouth and know what to say at the right moment in Jesus name.

    Thursday, 25th June 2015

    Bible verse: Nahum 1:2
God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

    Lesson
God's wrath/anger naturally arises from anything that violates His moral code - violation of His established laws and values.
Any violation of God's values or instructions by neglect or by intent can stir His wrath/anger.
Our Lord is a jealous, merciful & forgiving God, slow to anger but His wrath is full of fury.
Moses, king Saul experienced His anger.
God's wrath/anger will come upon everyone proud and arrogant, stealer of God's glory, the unrighteous, those with unforgiving hearts, those seeking revenge/retaliations and those with hypocritical spirits.

    Prayers
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure in Jesus name - Psalm 6:1
Spirit of the almighty Father, cleanse and control pride and anger in my life, reject all thoughts in me that will stir your wrath/anger in Jesus name.

    Bible verse: Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

    Lesson
Pride is a deceptive sin that can keep us from walking in love.
It is a me-oriented spirit that causes us to overestimate ourselves and underestimate others, bringing others down in order to lift ourself up, seeking revenge/retaliation, promoting a defensive reaction to criticism, despondency after failure, and the inability to accept corrections.
Pride makes people arrogant, rude and be unwilling to apologize, forgive, reconcile and associate with people.
Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to God.

    Prayer
Oh Lord, show me when I am walking in the spirit of pride and arrogance, that I might repent.
Put a guard at the door of my mouth that I would not hurt others by my arrogance or pride.
Help me to have a healthy fear of You that destroys pride and arrogance in Jesus name.
May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away in Jesus name - Psalms 36:11

    Tuesday, 23rd June 2015

    Bible verse: Mark 4:22
For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

    Lesson
The grace, blessings and favour of God is all around us. God never hid any of it, or Himself, from us.
We just had blinded ourselves by covering ourselves with our unbelief and living under a veil of unrepented and unforgiven sin.
Until we are willing to live in accordance to His laws, we shall remain unaware that it has been with us all the time.
Our belief, obedience and faith in God will jear up our awareness.

    Prayer
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles in Jesus name - Psalm 43:3

    Monday, 22nd June 2015

    Bible verse: Daniel 2:22
He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

    Lesson
God, been the fountain of wisdom and might, He is willing to share the riches of his wisdom, and power and some deep secrets with his people but enemy is fighting fiercely and deceitfully keeping us in ignorance.
There is decent ignorance, foolish ignorance, unconscious ignorance, physical ignorance and spiritual ignorance.
If you are ignorant, the enemy will prey on you and deal with you.

    Prayer
God, you see the end from the beginning, you have everything in focus, each in proper relation to all.
You are able to work toward predestined goals with flawless precision, reveal to man what is true wisdom and reveal things to come to your servants and prophets.
Lord, give me understanding, give me insight, give me a sense of reality about these things in Jesus name.
